Radio in Schools - a not for profit organisation that promotes speaking, listening and creativity across the school curriculum and forges partnerships with the professional radio industry. Radio in schools enables teachers and students to create, edit and publish podcasts in a secure environment without the need to purchase or install expensive 3rd party software.

In short, its a sound file that you can download or directly link to, in order to listen to through your computer or portable music player.

How do I find out if my school already has an account?
Easy! Click here to go to the search schools page. From here, you can search for your school by name, or by area.
Who can sign up?
You have to be a teacher in order to sign up your school to Radio-in-Schools. The person who signs their school up is automatically made the admin account holder, and will have extra responsibilities beyond those of normal account holders, such as approving other users.
How much does radio in schools cost?
There's no charge to sign-up. Everyone starts with a free, no-commitment 30-day trial account. If you decide you want to continue the service beyond the initial 30 days, then there is a modest, annual charge dependent upon the number of pupils in your school. How do I sign up for radio in schools?
Easy! Go to the sign-up page, and fill out the simple form. Once you've submitted the form, we'll need to run some checks (for security) to validate your school identity. Once this is done, you'll be emailed to let you know the service is up and running and ready for you to start podcasting!
What are the requirements for using Radio in Schools?
In order to use Radio in Schools you must have access to an internet enabled PC, with an Internet Browser on (supported browsers include IE 6 upwards, Firefox 2 upwards, Safari 2 upwards). Your PC must also have flash installed, and a working microphone (internal or external). Your school network will need to allow mp3 files from the Radio in Schools website.
